Shasta Environmental Alliance is organizing an Earth Day Festival on April 22 which will also include extended days of field trips, classes, films, and more aptly an Earth Week or Month around Earth Day with ongoing events by environmental organizations in hopes that it can be a deeper learning experience.
This year, the event will be held in Caldwell Park. It will be somewhat smaller as we are only having non-profit, agency, and school organizations oriented with an environmental message. For the most part, we will not have commercial booths. We will be charging $30 for non-profits and $60 for agencies.
We have a great enthusiastic group of teachers who are organizing many earth-friendly activities for children. The event will be child-oriented but also introduce adults to the participating organizations.
Please let us know if your group would like to be involved, whether having a booth, helping with organizing, or having an educational event. Contact David Ledger if you would like to be involved. Sign up early and reserve a space in Caldwell Park.
Sincerely,
David Ledger, President
